With Tumblr, it often takes more energy than it should. It takes two to tango, and Tumblr doesn’t dance.
His App, MarsEdit, can also be used to post to Tumblr – just like my myTumblr. And both Apps use the old Tumblr API. Both for a reason. And now this old API is not working anymore, because Tumblr quietly and without ‘warning’ changed it.
And I even can’t update myTumblr to the new API – because Tumblr does not allow me to do so. They changed their policy. Apps are no longer allowed to use Tumblr in their name. Not even Apps, that have used it for years before.
Currently I am not sure what to do about that. And honestly, I am getting tired of companies behaving that way. And because we here in Germany don’t need to be political correct – I even can say I am pissed.
